Live room

The recording studio has been designed and built from the start as a studio and is soundproofed, with an air conditioning system.

In the excellent live room, there are 3 isolation booths which can be used for vocal recordings or drums or whatever is required. This ideal recording space has been used for sessions ranging from a 12 piece soul band to poetry readings to a jazz quartet and a classical string quartet.

The studio is also wired to record live performances in the adjacent 300-seat auditorium, for example, during the Nairn International Jazz Festival concert performances in the Universal Hall, live recordings were made of jazz giant Bob Wilber and gipsy style guitarist Fappy Lafertin.
