Studio equipment & services
The studio uses an Alesis HD24 hard disc recorder connected to a Mackie 8 bus mixing console for multitrack recording. Stereo masters are prepared to red book standard on an Alesis ML9600 mastering recorder or can be transferred to Steinberg Wavelab 6 for editing and mastering.
The Studio has a range of quality condenser and dynamic microphones available. Signal processors by Drawmer, LA Audio, TC Electronic, and Yamaha are also available.
Acorn Audio can offer a short run compact disc or DVD duplication service from client master discs. The service can also include disc face printing and jewel case inserts. This service is suitable for clients who wish to order smaller quantities, typically up to 100 discs at a time.
Acorn Audio can also make live location sound recordings which can then be mixed and transferred to red book compact disc format back in the studio, for example, recording a band or artiste at a live concert, school choirs or bands in the school hall, also Church services, including wedding ceremonies, church choirs, or bereavement services.
